Personally, I am *VERY* opposed to setting up comp.sys.amiga.programmer.e
for two reasons:
1) No other programming language for the amiga has their own newsgroup.
i.e. There is no comp.sys.amiga.programmer.c or
comp.sys.amiga.programmer.amos and I think we don't want to start this
trend either. Also, to do this when no other language users have done it
would be rude.
2) The reason mailing lists exist is to provide a high quality (low noise)
content and I think that making this newsgroup would defy this purpose.
Also, consider how many people use E in comparison to C users. Why should
we make this group (and make everybody have a copy of it in their news
areas) when only a select group of people use it? One might argue that
this would be great advertising, but I don't think we want to advertise E
until at least 3.0 is ready. There are just too many bugs and
inconsistencies at this point to convince an already hard-boiled
programmer that E is a viable option.

I never asked anyone to analyze my stupid little asterisk. I TOLD
everybody that is the character in the button I am going to use. I AM
going to do this because it is efficient and small. Any questions?
I also asked if anyone would send me source, which would put up a
getfile-like button in place of the asterisk (about 1 character wide under
topaz 8). No one has sent me anything. Any questions???

A GUIDE, not a hard and fast rule. This isn't Macintrash. I highly
doubt C= follows it own GUIDElines 100%. Those GUIDEs are meant for the
brainless. Any more questions?
Please let this god-awful stupid thread die.
